Exciting news from Lori Land, for the past couple of weeks I have set up shop in Whimsy Flowers as an experiment. And so far it has been fantastic! This has been a great move, and I am so grateful to Kelly for giving me this amazing opportunity. I have been very productive and will have lots of new creations to share with you!
The act of getting up and “going to work” has been a tremendous success. I am able to get away from the distractions of working from home and just create, create, create!
Shimmerling – 16 x 20 on Cradled Birch Panel – Available for Sale
There are a few more, but I will save those for another post.
So stay tuned, I soon be able to post from my new little studio so there will be much more coming in the days ahead!
This summer, my great friend Kelly Hodge opened her flower shop Whimsy Flowers and Gifts here in Fort Nelson, BC. Kelly has been such a huge supporter of my work and has graciously allowed me to take over some prime real estate on her walls to display and sell my original paintings.
Whimsy is a bright, energizing and eclectic shop filled with the most amazing fair trade goods, original work from local artists such as Kelly’s own handmade jewellery (Kayas Kreations), the beautiful handmade fused glass jewellery of local artit Rachel Thompson, the georgeous antler carvings of the talented Brenda Hildebrant and of course the amazing floral art of Kelly Hodge.
I encourage anyone in the area to go and visit Whimsy Flowers and gifts. Kelly is a joy to speak with and the store is an absolute delight for all of the senses.
